Not bad. I'm definitely going to have to get my Z's. The 7 mile run on Saturday is longer than I would have run otherwise, but its good to be challenged.... right?

I went to my first class last Saturday, but the run was called off due to the lightning storm. Everyone in that group looked pretty damn fit. It was a little intimidating. That said, a lot of the folks in the group were in this other class that's training for a marathon in the near future, so I don't feel too bad. I was already up on a Saturday morning at 6AM, so I wanted to get a workout in. The YMCA was closed until 8 so I headed back home. By the time I got up North, it looked a littel clearer so I decided to head over to the running trail at Riata. I invented a little workout for myself -
  • Jog around the track (about 1/3 mile), then running the last 200 feet at about 80% max speed
  • 15 leg lifts
  • 10 incline pushups on the bar
I did that cycle 4 times in the light-to-moderate rain and I was pretty worn out. This fitness thing is tough. Not sure its good for you. :-)
